Summary

Legal Counsel - Employment (5 years PQE) - Fixed Term Contract - maternity cover

Start date - 27th April 2026 - FTC 9-12 months

We've got a fantastic opportunity for a UK qualified employment lawyer to join our team as Legal Counsel on a fixed term contract maternity cover. You'll be supporting the Legal Director (Employment) in handling of large employment tribunal caseloads.

Ideally with in-house experience but we can consider a move from private practice. This role would suit 5 years PQE. It's a great role with room to grow and develop.

• Qualified UK lawyer with a strong track record in employment law, especially managing a busy and varied caseload of employment litigation. This would suit 5 years PQE.
• Sound legal, commercial, business and negotiating acumen, with strong technical legal skills.
• Keen to develop the use of generative AI to drive efficiencies in day‑to‑day work.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with clear, articulate drafting and strong attention to detail.
• Highly responsive, proactive and solution‑oriented approach to resolving issues pragmatically and quickly.
