1. To adhere to the named nurse concept to ensure that nursing care is organised to promote individualised approach to care 2. To ensure the completion of necessary documentation of patient care planning and all other nursing and clinical documentation. 3. In conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary team, evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and care 4. To report concerns about patient care, treatment or progress to senior nursing staff 5. To ensure that Care Programme Approach process is implemented 6. To ensure that there is adherence to the Mental Health Act 1983 and that patients rights are upheld at all times 7. To ensure the completion of clinical and administrative documentation in accordance with Pathfinder Ashness House procedure 8. To adhere to Pathfinder Ashness House policy and procedure and current legislation in relation to witnessing, administering and storage of medication 9. To advise non clinical staff within the hospital on management of patients with mental illness 10. To initiate/participate in nursing and other research as appropriate
