Summary
40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Evening and weekend working may be required to meet guest and business needs.
In this role you will:
• Support the delivery of high‑quality housekeeping services, ensuring all accommodation and communal areas are clean, well presented, and welcoming.
• Prepare guest rooms, teaching spaces, meeting rooms, and event areas in line with schedules and booking requirements.
• Assist with laundry processes, including washing, drying, and preparing linens and towels to a consistent standard.
• Use environmentally friendly cleaning products and follow safe-use and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support hospitality functions such as room set‑ups, refreshments, and assisting the Kitchen or Café teams when needed.
• Contribute positively to a calm, organised, and value‑aligned environment that reflects the ethos of Emerson College and the Ruskin Mill Land Trust.
We are looking for someone:
• With experience in hospitality, housekeeping, hotel, venue, education, or care environments (desirable but not essential).
• Who is committed to high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest experience.
• With strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate warmly and professionally with visitors, students, and colleagues.
• Who is adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• With good attention to detail and the ability to follow schedules, routines, and health and safety procedures.
• Who brings resilience, reliability, and a positive attitude to a physically active and dynamic working environment.
