We are seeking a committed, skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant all-through school in Croydon from May 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across key stages in a forward-thinking school that prides itself on high expectations, strong pastoral care, and a culture of continuous improvement. You will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, leading lessons, and helping pupils achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an HLTA, you will:
• Deliver high-quality lessons to whole classes during teacher PPA, absence, or planned release time
• Support teaching and learning across Early Years, Primary and/or Secondary phases (experience dependent)
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
• Provide targeted intervention support for individuals and small groups
• Contribute to behaviour management in line with school policy
• Support curriculum enrichment and whole-school initiatives
This role would suit an experienced HLTA or an ambitious Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career.

• Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)
• Has strong curriculum knowledge across at least one key stage
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
• Is flexible, proactive and confident leading whole classes
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
