Summary


Are you looking to join an ambitious team in one of the most complex and large NHS Trusts in the UK. Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation and the ‘Smart Together’ Shared Service is embarking on an exciting transformation journey to develop common systems, processes and procedures and to embrace new ways of working to ensure alignment to the national models of procurement that are emerging within the NHS.

We are now looking for an individual to join our catalogue team within the Performance Excellence function of the Procurement and Supply Chain department.

This role will involve a variety of support and delivery tasks to successfully manage the end-to-end procure to pay process and the organisations product catalogue management processes. This may involve requesting and receiving data from stakeholders including external suppliers, processing and responding to requests from internal customers in a timely and accurate manner, handling enquiries and resolving discrepancies, communicating with colleagues in the team to collectively solve problems and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

* ‘Smart Together’ is a shared procurement and supply chain service hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the leading hospitals in the country and serve the hospitals across south east London.

Smart Together currently provides its services to GSTT and 4 other NHS Trusts, namely, Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

The main tasks and responsibilities of the role are:
• Utilisation of procurement and catalogue systems, such as GHX for catalogue management and Supply X to deliver catalogue services to GSTT and Shared Services stakeholders.
• Works collaboratively with the Helpdesk and Buying Team functions to ensure seamless operations, supporting the organisation's mission to deliver world-class patient care by ensuring timely access to necessary resources.
• Supports the management of catalogue team queries.
• Supports the management of the product catalogue, ensuring accurate, up-to-date descriptions and pricing.

The applicant will also work collaboratively with the Buying and Helpdesk Team functions to ensure seamless operations, supporting the organisation's mission to deliver world-class patient care by ensuring timely access to necessary resources.

The role will require the applicant to have top class interpersonal, communication skills with experience working as part of a team and the ability to develop contacts and build networks.

Administrative experience and a good level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and Word is essential.

The role requires a willingness to contribute a positive and enthusiastic attitude and the applicant must be reliable, pro-active and enjoy working as part of a busy team.
