Job Advert: Teaching Assistant Required – Carlisle

Hannett Hale Recruitment is proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Carlisle who are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable Supply Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The Role

- Start Date: Starting after Easter
- Contract: 3 days a week – Maternity Leave
- Key Stages: EYFS
- Provide high‑quality classroom support to pupils and teachers
- Assist with learning activities, small‑group work, and 1:1 support
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
- Adapt confidently to different school settings and routines
- Follow school policies and work collaboratively with staff teams

About You

- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
- Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Confident, adaptable, and proactive in supporting learning
- Passionate about helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and wellbeing
