Be Broxbourne is seeking an enthusiastic leader to join our management team across three diverse sites including John Warner Sports Centre, Laura Trott Leisure Centre, and Cheshunt Park Golf Course. Working closely with the Centres Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of our sites, supporting teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring our customers enjoy a safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment. The role is operational and involves working closely with staff, including leading training, dealing with customer enquiries and service issues. You will be working on a shift pattern across sites that includes early mornings, daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will also be required to cover shifts as a Duty Manager.
Please apply if you have proven experience of leading and managing a leisure facility of any size. You should also hold a National Pool Lifeguarding qualification (NPLQ), Pool Plant operators Certificate (PPO), First Aid at Work and an Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Certificate. The role requires an excellent communicator both written and verbal. You will be required to use leisure management systems, so previous knowledge will be advantageous. A calm approach is needed as this can be a very busy environment.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in fluent English is
essential in this post.
This role requires a disclosure and barring service check (DBS) as it is working with children or vulnerable clients.
