To coordinate and be accountable for the day-to-day running and coordinating of two private theatres, endoscopy, ward and recovery Hadley Wood.

To ensure that a high-quality service is delivered within the budget.

To be accountable for the management of all resources within the private theatre complex in conjunction with the Matron and the Head of Nursing.

To be responsible for managing staff sickness, annual leave and absence, including reviewing ward, recovery, and theatre staffing.

To act on behalf of and deputise for the Matron in their absence.

To work closely with consultants and all theatre teams to ensure good utilization of spaces available.

To liaise with the Matron over requirements of the service and staffing. A crossing PPU.

To identify bottlenecks in the theatre services and take appropriate action to promote patient flow within private practice in conjunction with senior operational staff.

To be responsible for coordinating the daily staff rotas, providing information on delays, start times, and late finishes, and minimizing wasted resources in relation to staffing and equipment.

To be able to work independently using own initiative, but to seek guidance where appropriate.

Be available to give expert clinical advice to staff as required.

To demonstrate clinical competencies in clinical skills and to support, supervise, and train junior colleagues to develop skills as required.

To exercise professional accountability at all times and to be aware of own development needs/limitations, actively seeking to address these and raise awareness in others.

Ensure Theatre policies and procedures are up-to-date and that all staff comply with agreed policies and maintain best practice.

Participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and complaints; implement corrective action where necessary in consultation with the Matron.

Support the team leaders to maintain accurate and timely sickness and absence information on a weekly and monthly basis, taking action to reduce sickness and absence where and when appropriate.

Demonstrate use of excellent communication skills to support patients, families, and consultants and to ensure theatre staff are supported to develop these skills.

To manage conflict promptly and effectively, supporting and promoting effective working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and initiating and evaluating any action plans.

To ensure that COSHH and Infection Control policies are implemented and that every effort is made to identify and minimize potential
risks/hazards.
