Summary
Vice Principal
Redbridge, North East London
Salary £94,000 to £104,000
Start date: September 2026
• A pivotal senior leadership role in a large, ambitious secondary school
• Significant whole school responsibility with genuine scope to shape strategy
• A high performing, diverse community in North East London
• Salary aligned with the scale and impact of the post
• September 2026 start with structured handover and transition
I am working in partnership with a large and well established secondary school in Redbridge to appoint an exceptional Vice Principal for September 2026. This is a rare opportunity to join a substantial, forward thinking school at a key point in its strategic development.
The school serves a richly diverse community and has a strong reputation locally for high standards, inclusive practice and clear ambition for every pupil. With a large student body and an established senior team, this post offers both scale and influence. It will suit an experienced senior leader who is ready to operate at whole school level and who thrives in a complex, fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and Governing Body to drive standards, shape culture and deliver on long term priorities. The precise portfolio will reflect the strengths of the appointed candidate, but is likely to include oversight of key strategic areas such as quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, or operational leadership across the school.
We are seeking a leader who:
• Has a proven track record of impact at senior level in a large secondary setting
• Demonstrates the credibility and presence to lead staff at scale
• Is uncompromising on standards, yet thoughtful and values driven in approach
• Understands data, curriculum and accountability in depth
• Builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
This role would suit an existing Vice Principal seeking a fresh challenge, or an outstanding Assistant Principal ready to step into a broader strategic remit within a significant secondary school.
Redbridge offers excellent transport links into Central London and Essex, and the school benefits from a committed staff body and a stable leadership structure. There is real appetite for innovation, balanced with a deep understanding of what works in raising standards sustainably.
If you are an ambitious senior leader looking for a role where your influence will be visible across an entire school community, I would welcome a confidential conversation.
