The Role
As a Temporary Works Engineer, you will be responsible for managing temporary works procedures, designing or checking temporary works and simple permanent works, and liaising with designers and clients. Your daily activities will include ensuring compliance with procedures, conducting hazard and risk reviews, and contributing to internal and external reporting. You will also be involved in forums and other organisational initiatives, supporting a culture of safety and innovation.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience in temporary works design and management.
- Extensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and design processes.
- Membership of a recognised professional institution such as MICE.
- Ability to manage internal and external designers and deputise for the Principal Engineer.
- Knowledge of safety in design and change control procedures.
