We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Clean Water Capital Delivery Team - Our teams deliver various schemes from Mains Renewal, Diversions and PMVs all in aid of supporting the UU clean water network.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Commercial Manager and delivery team in all aspects of commercial activities you, You will also manage and mentor the Quantity Surveyors within the team , to ensure that all M Group processes and procedures are completed in a timely manner and compliant to our policies.
As a key member of the Commercial team, you'll work closely with the Commercial Manager and build strong, collaborative relationships with client counterparts to support successful project delivery. Ensure all Morrison and client commercial processes are followed to minimise WIP, maintain cash within business targets, and secure on‑time receipt of payments in line with forecasts. Support the production of weekly and monthly CVRs and ensure all completed work is accurately valued and followed through to cash collection. You're responsibilities will include assisting with the procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers, driving process improvements, and managing Early Warnings and Compensation Events in full compliance with contract requirements. Produce and present productivity measures to ensure tender and operational alignment, negotiate new unit rates and KPI measures with
clients, and monitor contract KPIs to identify opportunities to enhance performance. Through effective commercial management and strong client engagement, Contribute to continuous improvement, financial control, and successful project outcomes.
What you'll bring
- Commercially astute with substantial proven experience within a commercial role in the Construction Industry.
- Expert knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
- Understanding of programming techniques and project controls.
- Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
- Full UK driving license
