What skills and experience we're looking for

Falinge Park High School is a large, over-subscribed, multicultural, inclusive comprehensive in Rochdale. There is a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the school and a positive ethos amongst the staff. We have created a culture which supports each other at every level rather than a tick-box approach to success.

We are looking for a Lead Practitioner for English. This is a new post and a fantastic opportunity for the right person. We have added this role because we are looking to recruit a specialist in English subject knowledge and pedagogy.

Falinge Park High School is part of the Watergrove Trust which is a part centralised trust. Watergrove Trust shares core processes but also honours the individual character of all its schools, so whilst benefiting from the collaborative opportunities of being in a trust, you will also be firmly part of the Falinge Park family. The commitment of Watergrove Trust is providing more for the communities that we serve.

For more information read the Headteacher’s letter and accompanying material which give more detail to the role, visit our website or contact Lisa Fitton to arrange a visit or speak to the Headteacher at fittonl@falingepark.com

The deadline for completed applications is12 noon on Friday 13th March 2026. Interview date to be confirmed.
