Summary
Sands Housing Management is seeking a proactive and organised Assistant Property Manager to support the management of our property portfolio. We provide a range of housing services across the sector, including supported accommodation for vulnerable tenants.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day management of properties, compliance, tenant relations, and contractor coordination, ensuring high standards of service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management of a portfolio of residential and supported accommodation properties
• Act as a point of contact for tenants, support workers, contractors, and local authorities
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance, including instructing contractors and monitoring works to completion
• Carry out property inspections, check-in/check-out inspections, and compliance visits
• Support compliance management, including Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, fire safety, legionella, and HMO requirements
• Maintain accurate property, tenancy, and compliance records on internal systems
• Assist with tenant onboarding, tenancy documentation, and mid-term compliance forms
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues, complaints, and emergencies in line with company procedures
• Ensure properties meet housing quality standards and local authority requirements
• Generate monthly reports at various levels for stakeholders, providing insights into property performance, compliance, and tenancy management
• Provide general administrative support to the Property Management team
• Assist with audits, council inspections, and compliance reporting
• Any other duties reasonably required to support the smooth running of the housing portfolio
Skills & Requirements:
Essential:
• Previous experience within property management, housing, or supported accommodation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
• Professional and confident when dealing with tenants, contractors, and management team
Desirable:
• Experience using Fixflo
• Experience using Inventory Base
