1 x permanent full – time, Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Career Graded Role – with a structured development pathway designed to support you in achieving a Level 4 qualification

Colchester Borough Homes (CBH), an award winning organisation owned by Colchester City Council, has been at the heart of the local community since 2003. We manage and maintain around 7,000 residential buildings across the Borough. Our work is varied, ambitious and rooted in improving places and lives.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Asset Manager to join our dynamic Asset Management Team.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity.
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Housing Improvement and Capital Works projects, whilst gaining hands-on experience across a variety of surveying and property management activities.
As a career graded position, you will be supported within a clear development framework, with training designed to help you progress and ultimately achieve a Level 4 qualification. This makes the role ideal for someone looking to grow their expertise and build a long-term career in asset management.

What You Will Bring

• A practical understanding of repairs, project management and planned maintenance processes, and the standards required.
• Knowledge of building and construction projects, installations, and planning/building control requirements.
• Awareness of current Building Regulations, related legislation, Decent Homes standards and health & safety (including CDM).
• Confident use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Housing Management Systems.
• A full UK driving licence and continuous access to a car.
