Complex Needs Support Worker (City)

Are you passionate about supporting women facing severe and multiple disadvantage? Do you believe survivors should be at the heart of everything you do? If so, this could be the role where your skills create life-changing impact.

We're looking for a Domestic Violence Specialist - Complex Needs Support Worker to deliver powerful, trauma-informed outreach support across Nottingham City.

The Role

You'll work alongside women experiencing domestic abuse and complex needs, including:

  • Homelessness

  • Substance misuse

  • Mental and physical health challenges

  • Offending history

This is a dynamic, community-based role. You'll be:

  • Delivering proactive outreach support across the city

  • Leading community drop-in sessions

  • Supporting women resettling after refuge or temporary accommodation

  • Co-locating with statutory partners, including regular work at Loxley House

  • Advocating at MARAC, court, housing, probation, and multi-agency meetings

What You'll Bring

You are:

  • Experienced in supporting women affected by domestic abuse and complex needs

  • Confident in risk assessment, safety planning and advocacy

  • Trauma-informed, non-judgemental and survivor-centred

  • Skilled at managing a varied caseload in fast-paced environments

  • Passionate about partnership working and collaborative solutions

  • Committed to feminist values, anti-discriminatory practice and continuous improvement

A Women's Aid or SafeLives Level 3 qualification is desirable (or willingness to achieve it).

Salary
  • £26,705 (Scale Point 17 - Unqualified)

  • £28,340 (Scale Point 20 - Qualified)

Location

Based across city premises, community locations and co-located with statutory partners across Nottingham City.

Contract Information

This role will start as a temporary contract for 12 weeks, with the intention to transfer to a permanent contract following successful completion.

Important Information

  • Enhanced DBS required

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)

  • 6-month probationary period
