Assistant Site Manager - Traditional Build Housing

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a traditional build new housing development based in Whitchurch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career while working towards high-quality delivery in line with National House Building Council (NHBC) standards.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day management of a residential development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Site Manager in overseeing all on-site operations

  • Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and trades

  • Ensuring all work meets NHBC standards and company quality expectations

  • Maintaining health & safety compliance in line with current legislation

  • Conducting quality inspections and snagging

  • Monitoring build progress against programme

  • Assisting with material scheduling and deliveries

  • Supporting customer care during key stages and handovers

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in residential housebuilding (traditional build essential)

  • Has a strong understanding of NHBC standards

  • Holds a valid CSCS card (SSSTS or SMSTS desirable)

  • Has good organisational and communication skills

  • Is proactive, hands-on, and committed to high-quality delivery

  • Is working towards or interested in progressing to Site Manager level
