WORKING HOURS: 27.5 hours per week, 8:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks)

DUTIES
Your duties as the Cover Supervisor / Classroom Assistant will include:
• Classroom Supervision: Deliver pre-set lesson plans and maintain effective classroom management
• Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour and keep students focused and engaged
• Student Support: Respond to questions and provide curriculum support to aid understanding
• Safeguarding Compliance: Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe learning environment
• Administrative Support: Assist with exam invigilation, classroom preparation and general admin tasks
• Timetable Coordination: Support the organisation of pre-planned cover timetables alongside senior administrative staff
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young people
• A proactive and organised approach to supporting lesson delivery
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Desirable
• Previous experience in a secondary education, training or youth support setting
• Experience with curriculum support or learning development
• A background in mentoring, coaching or pastoral care
• Experience supporting exam invigilation or school administration
