Kitchen Assistant / Commis Cook | Northwood, North London | Part Time (24 Hours) | £14.50–£15.50 per hour (DOE)

Our client is a prestigious private members’ Golf Club in Northwood, North London, known for its exceptional course and outstanding food and beverage experience.

They are seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join their professional, dedicated, and friendly kitchen team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day food preparation for the Club, both for the daily snack menu and function dining for up to 120 guests.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (essential)
• Allergen Awareness Certification (essential)
• Previous kitchen experience within a high-quality hospitality setting
• Experience in a golf club, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment preferred
• Confident working across different kitchen sections
• Passion for fresh produce and varied menus
• Able to remain calm under pressure during busy service
• Reliable, punctual and team-focused
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Able to commute reliably to Northwood
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

What will your role look like?

• Prepare and present fresh food across breakfast, lunch and function service
• Support bar, lounge and halfway hut catering
• Assist in function and event catering for up to 120 guests
• Maintain food safety records and temperature logs
• Ensure full compliance with allergen regulations
• Assist with stock control and stock rotation
• Receive and store deliveries correctly
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
• Work closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver high standards daily
