Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, is seeking a talented and dedicated Programme Lead of Computer Science to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time role with a competitive salary range of MPS1-UPS3 + TLR.
As the Programme Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the computer science curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the latest industry standards and meets the needs of our diverse student population. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the department's performance, and for ensuring that the school's computer science programme remains at the forefront of educational innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum that meets the needs of all students
- Lead and manage the computer science department, including the supervision and mentoring of teaching staff
- Monitor and evaluate the department's performance, and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure the school's computer science programme is aligned with its overall strategic goals
- Organise and facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for the computer science team
- Represent the department at school events and liaise with parents and the wider community
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching computer science at the secondary level
- Proven track record of successful curriculum development and implementation
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Passion for computer science education and a commitment to continuous improvement
