Are you interested in working for an organisation that is keen to provide exceptional service where you can make a difference? If so, we have the role for you - join us as an Equipment Technician (known internally as a Calibration Technician).
About the role
Lincs Laboratory provides laboratory and site testing services to the construction and highways industries. We are accredited by UKAS to ISO 17025 and are looking for an experienced person who can ensure the efficient and on-time calibration of our laboratory equipment. The lab is currently modernising its systems and you can play an important part in this transformation. You will also be managing the incoming & outgoing samples ensuring that they are accurately recorded ready for the team to test.
About You
You will be responsible for the calibration, adjustment, and service of a range of test instruments in accordance with British standards and inhouse procedures. This is a hands-on role requiring a methodical approach, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Candidates should:
Hold a technical qualification (such as a time served engineering apprenticeship, ONC, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 and above or demonstrable relevant experience) or other electrical and electronic trade experience.
Proven experience in calibration within a traceable or UKAS ISO 17025 accredited laboratory preferred.
Understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality standards preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret specifications, and calibration procedures.
Strong IT skills for documentation and data analysis.
Knowledge of Windows-based applications and automated laboratory software preferred.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience of working within a customer focused environment.

You will have Lincs Laboratory as a contractual work base, and you will be required to commute to this work base three days per week (nominally Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday).
