As a Senior Training Officer, you will help shape the capabilities of our professional services teams, acting as a trusted learning and development partner to deliver impactful training.
This 12-month fixed-term contract includes an initial three-month training period in Stoke-on-Trent, after which you will play a crucial part in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our Manchester-based Technology, Marketing, and Recruitment teams.
Reporting to the Training Delivery Manager, your core responsibility will be to turn business requirements into tailored learning solutions that enhance the specific skills of our colleagues.
Additionally, a major part of the role involves delivering content within a classroom setting, such as our comprehensive range of courses on personal effectiveness and Management Development. You will utilise your expertise in evaluation to recommend further course developments and improvements.
You will have experience of working collaboratively with managers, understanding their unique challenges, and successfully implementing effective learning and development initiatives.

• Expertise in designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful management and leadership development programmes from start to finish.
• Ability to present verbally and non-verbally through a variety of formats.

• A natural ability to inspire and motivate both oneself and team members.
• Demonstrable experience of influencing at a senior level.
• Proven experience in working autonomously and managing competing priorities effectively.
Main Responsibilities
• Engaging with Senior Managers and Managers to identify required learning and management development needs, making recommendations for change where appropriate.
• Designing new learning interventions and producing materials in accordance with the needs of the department and stakeholders.
• Delivering effective training modules to people at all levels, including Senior Managers.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of existing learning interventions and materials based on established principles and models.
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of research and trends within the learning and development sector.
• Managing learning-centred projects from end-to-end, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business requirements.
