Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Cambridge (Remote)
Job Type: Full-time

We are hiring a skilled and proactive Finance Manager on behalf of our client. This role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and analysis while ensuring financial accuracy and process optimization. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and work closely with senior leadership. This position combines operational finance responsibilities with strategic decision-making and is suited for a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis:

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial reports.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Support senior management in strategic decision-making through accurate financial data.

2. Accounting & Reporting:

Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

3. Cash Flow & Risk Management:

Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial processes.
Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

Lead, mentor, and support finance team members to encourage professional development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial objectives and compliance requirements.

5. Compliance & Governance:

Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal financial policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Proficiency in financial software and MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
