Media & Film Studies Teacher – Luton
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Start Date: ASAP (Initially until Easter, with potential extension to cover a long-term absence)
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Media & Film Studies Teacher to join a thriving department in Luton. This is a full-time temporary position starting as soon as possible, initially until Easter, with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and raising attainment at A-Level.
Essential Requirements
• Recent experience teaching Media Studies and Film Studies to students aged 16+
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching A-Level classes in both subjects
• Current Enhanced DBS
• Availability to start ASAP

• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress accurately
• Contribute to curriculum planning and stay informed of current curriculum developments
• Manage learning effectively for individuals, groups, and whole classes
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents
• Maintain a professional approach at all times
