Are you passionate about helping young people reach their full potential? Join our Cadet Forces team as a Volunteer Instructor and play a vital role in developing confident, capable, and community-minded young people.
No military experience? No problem. We provide full training and ongoing support.
About Us
We are part of the UK Cadet Forces, a national youth organisation sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We provide exciting opportunities for young people aged 12–18 to develop leadership skills, resilience, teamwork, and self-discipline through structured training and adventurous activities.
The Role
As a Volunteer Instructor, you will:
Support and mentor cadets during weekly parade nights
Assist in delivering training such as leadership, fieldcraft, first aid, navigation, and physical training
Help organise camps, expeditions, and community events
Promote teamwork, respect, and personal development
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all cadets
You can specialise in areas such as adventure training, shooting sports, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, music, STEM, or first aid.

No prior experience is required — just dedication and a willingness to learn.
