Action Staffing is actively recruiting for compassionate and leadership-driven Senior Health Care Assistants to join outstanding care homes and clinical settings
As a Senior HCA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care while leading and mentoring a team of care assistants. If you have a strong background in care, hold your Level 3 qualification, and are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead by example, supervise, and mentor junior care staff and support workers during shifts to ensure the highest standards of care.
Medication Administration: Safely administer, record, and manage medications in strict accordance with training and facility policies.
Care Planning: Assist in the assessment, implementation, and regular updating of individualized care plans.
Complex Care: Provide high-quality personal care and support for residents with complex needs, including dementia and end-of-life care.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all daily records are accurate, report any safeguarding concerns, and ensure the setting strictly adheres to CQC guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with Registered Nurses (RGN/RMN), management, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
Qualification: An NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
Experience: Proven experience working as a Care Assistant (minimum 2 years), with previous experience in a senior or team leader role highly preferred.
Skills: Medication Administration training (essential), strong leadership qualities, and excellent communication skills.
Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
Clearances: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
