You will work as part of a dynamic team of clinical pharmacists and technicians providing support to our patients within inpatient settings on the Chelsea and Sutton sites of the hospital. You will be involved with the management of patients with complex haemato-oncological malignancies (e.g. CAR-T therapy and stem cell transplants). We have a significant presence in all non-cancer pathways and are respected and valued as key members of the MDT.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated pharmacist to join our dynamic, innovative, and friendly Clinical Pharmacy Team based Royal Marsden Hospital (cross site). This will provide you an opportunity to develop your leadership skills and gain invaluable management experience for a rewarding career. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and accurate clinical pharmacy service to all non-cancer pathways at the trust, including but not limited to the surgical inpatient wards, Critical care units and anti-infectives agenda. In addition, you will also participate in the 7day out of hours rota, oncall rota and late duty rota. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to provision of excellent pharmaceutical care to assigned clinical areas, training of the MDT (multidisciplinary team), medicines reconciliation, supporting stock management, counselling patients and general dispensary duties, including dispensing and accuracy checking.

Ensure service provisions of the clinical pharmacy to inpatient wards are coordinated to a high standard and developed, according to the needs of the Trust Be responsible for staff allocation in response to changing workload and service delivery requirements. Duties include ensuring that relevant rotas for clinical service delivery are developed and adhered to e.g. day-to-day tasks, evening and weekend shifts are covered. To support other team members in leading a clinical pharmacy service on the operational delivery of the medicine's optimisation services across clinical services. To support and drive the implementation of initiatives to improve patient experience related to medicines

a) Provide a clinical pharmacy service to all non-cancer pathways at the trust
b) Support the medical and nursing teams though provision of pharmacy advice and ensure the safe and timely delivery of oncology services
c) Promote the on-going Trust initiatives to continually improve patient experiences of day case chemotherapy
d) Liaise with the pharmacy aseptic, dispensary and clinical teams and the multi-disciplinary team on the day units to ensure an efficient, effective and safe service is provided.
e) Attend unit meetings if required.
f) Participate in pharmacy initiatives within the units as appropriate.
