Deputy Home Manager Children’s Residential Home - £35,000–£47,000
Step into a Deputy Home Manager role where your leadership directly shapes the day-to-day lives of young people aged 11–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This children’s residential home is Ofsted-regulated and requires a confident Deputy Manager who can lead shifts, guide staff, and maintain high standards of care. You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager, sharing responsibility for safeguarding, performance, and the overall direction of the home.
Before You Apply
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (Minimum) is required.
- You must have experience working in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home.
- This role is not suitable for candidates without senior or supervisory experience in residential care.

- Salary: £35,000–£42,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

What You’ll Need
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or above)
- Experience in an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential home
- Experience supervising or leading staff in a residential setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
- Ability to lead shifts and make decisions independently
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
What You’ll Do
- Support the Registered Manager with the daily running of the home
- Lead shifts and ensure care plans are implemented consistently
- Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers
- Monitor safeguarding practices and behaviour management strategies
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and placement reviews
- Maintain accurate records in line with Ofsted requirements
