Hours: 31.25 hours per week, term time only (8.30am – 3.15pm, Mon to Fri)Salary: Surrey PS3 - £17,703 per annum pro rata (£24,330 FTE)This is a temporary contract, linked to funding. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join St James C of E Primary School, where pupils ‘are exceptionally happy, as are staff and parents’. St James is a two form entry primary school set in extensive grounds, enjoyed by friendly and polite pupils who are eager to learn. We are supported by a welcoming community of staff, parents and governors working together. St James is situated in the heart of Weybridge and we are proud to be a school that serves the community and offers children an excellent primary education and experience. We would like to recruit an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual to join our St James family to nurture and inspire our children. The successful candidate will be caring and supportive to the needs of the children, be committed to our safeguarding responsibilities and work with the St James team to ensure all children 'let their light shine'.Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. However, if you do not currently have Level 3, the willingness to train for this is essential. We are looking for a suitable candidate who: • Has high expectations of children both academically and socially. • Works closely with colleagues as a team member. • Shares the school’s caring ethos and vision and commitment to safeguarding.• Shows enthusiasm, dedication, plus an excellent rapport with both children and staff and has a sense of humour. • Maintains a calm and consistent approach to working with the children. • Has competent English and Maths skills.• Uses good communication skills with colleagues, children and parents. • Has the ability to aid to plan and deliver a range of interventions.
