Are you an experienced Children's Support Worker looking for flexible shifts across education and residential settings?
Brook Street Social Care is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to work with children and young people across the North East.
We have shifts available within:
- Educational settings, including schools and specialist provisions
- Children's residential services
You will be supporting young people with:
- Trauma backgrounds
- Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Autism
- Complex needs

The Role
As a Children's Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support
- Support learning and engagement within educational settings
- Promote independence and positive behaviour
- Follow care plans and behaviour strategies
- Build positive, professional relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Safeguard and promote wellbeing at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months UK care experience
- Experience supporting children and young people
- Residential or education experience desirable
- Ability to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
- Strong communication skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
- Two professional references
