Crynodeb
The successful applicant will have a strong grounding in congenital cardiology and join the team to develop their expertise in interventional congenital cardiac catheterisation (paediatric and ACHD). The successful appointee will be based in Liverpool working across the Level 1 CHD services for paediatric (Alder Hey) and ACHD (LHCH). Currently here are 3 full day sessions at Alder Hey (Paediatric) and 1 full session in Liverpool Heart and Chest (ACHD) each week. The successful candidate will be expected to become competent in ACHD and paediatric cardiac procedures by the end of their 12 months and be able to take up a substantive consultant post. We would expect a suitably trained appointee to perform at least 50 first operator adult and paediatric cases by the end of their fellowship.
