Crynodeb
The position is for a lady who is 83 years old and has Parkinson's disease and dementia, she does sleep a lot during the day, but when awake likes to chat, she needs help taking her regular medication and washing and toilet duties.
The lady loves Elvis and her family, doesn't have any hobbies as such but enjoys
going to Bromley to meet her sister for lunch once a week and also a monthly meal with a family friend.
Support includes:
*Medication administration
* Personal care including strip wash
* Companionship - ensuring she is warm and cared for in her own home.
* Making meals - cooking and preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner; drinks as and when required.
* Toilet duties
* Light household duties - tidying up the kitchen and putting stuff in the dishwasher, generally keeping bedroom tidy and dealing with washing .
* Getting up in the night for toileting or concerns if required.
We are looking for a kind, caring, patient person who knows how to deal with clients who have dementia and Parkinson's disease. Someone who goes that extra mile and wants to look after the person they are caring for.
Qualifications/Skills/training Required:
Dementia training / moving and handling / adult safeguarding / food hygiene / medication / mental capacity/ care certificate / managing challenging behaviour
