We are looking for a Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor to lead/support the team and provide a high consistent standard of cleaning services for our client. This is a key role working as part of a professional facilities team. You must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to provide the required documentation. Good physical ability is necessary for this role.
Job Description
In this role, you will support the management team ensuring that tasks are completed as instructed on time and to the required standard. As Supervisor, you will train new starters, complete return to work meetings with staff and address poor performance when required. This is a working supervisor role and will require you to complete cleaning tasks alongside your team.
Responsibilities
· Maintain the highest level of cleaning standard and safety carrying out essential cleaning tasks including but not limited to:
o Managing a team of Cleaning Operatives to deliver a good consistent standard
o Organising cover for holiday and absence – covering yourself when required
o Ordering stock
o Delivering training and Toolbox talks
o Completing recorded conversations with team members, assisting with return-to-work paperwork and note taking
o Completing site audits with the VINCI and client team
· Enabling and assisting the team to deliver all the below as and when necessary:
o Damp Wiping and Dusting
o Vacuuming and Mopping
o Jet washing, Buffing and use of Scrubber Dryer Machines
o High level cleaning (from ground level)
o Window Cleaning
o Waste Removal
o Litter Picking
o Washroom cleaning
· Ensuring all equipment is kept clean, well maintained & in working order. Completing check sheets for machinery and arranging repairs when needed.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
Previous cleaning experience Strong leadership skills and previous experience supervising a small team is required for this role.
hours of work are 35 per week. Working 2200-0600 on a 4 on 2 off rolling rota.
Rate of pay is due to rise by £0.85 from April to £15.05 per hour
