Part time, open ended and hybrid role

An opportunity has arisen to join our Student Services Student Life and Operations Team in the role of HR & Business Operations Administrator.
Within a team of five you will undertake HR and Finance based administration duties and support with wider operational tasks as required for all sections within Student Services which includes but is not limited to:
Finance
Maintain appropriate financial records for audit purposes and comply with end-of-year accounting deadlines.
Process purchase requests and invoicing for goods and services
Make hospitality, travel and accommodation bookings
Support with the processing of Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), timesheets and invoices.
HR
Record absences via the University’s iTrent database.
Process recruitment campaigns from initial approval and organisation of interviews through to contract requests.
Ensure that necessary right-to-work and DBS checks are carried out.
Assist and support managers with inductions and onboarding into Student Services.
Supporting with the processing and administration of overtime payments for service staff.
General Duties
Assist on a rota basis with the registering and signposting of student appointments within the Service, including working on our reception desk and answering telephone queries.
To support the running of service activities as required, this may include occasional pre-agreed work outside normal working hours such as evenings and weekends.
This post will support the service to ensure an excellent service is delivered for students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and communicate well within a team. Significant experience of working in a busy office environment carrying out HR and Finance-related tasks, and a commitment to excellent customer service and standards is a must.
You will be able to work under pressure to tight timescales and possess excellent IT skills, good written and spoken communication, and have an enthusiastic, professional, and courteous approach.
