About the Firm
Here at Workforce Finance Team we are currently supporting a growing and ambitious accountancy practice based in Wolverhampton, providing high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Accountant (FCCA) to support the ongoing development of the practice.

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of clients, reviewing work prepared by junior staff, and supporting partners with advisory and compliance matters. You will ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and commercially focused services while contributing to the firm’s continued growth.
This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel between practice sites within a 12-mile radius.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for SMEs and limited companies
• Review of VAT returns and management accounts
• Overseeing and supporting junior team members
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
• Assisting with tax compliance and advisory matters
• Supporting year-end processes and business planning
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards
• Contributing to practice development and process improvement
Candidate Requirements
• FCCA qualified (essential)
• Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance
• Experience managing client portfolios
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites (within 12-mile radius)
