Job Introduction

Funky Pigeon is on a mission to make sending personalised cards and gifts delightfully easy — and we’re looking for a Product Owner to spearhead our Conversion Squad.

In this pivotal role, you’ll sit at the heart of product development, driving initiatives that directly impact conversion, attachment rate, average order value and overall customer experience. You’ll translate business goals and customer needs into a clear product vision — and rally cross‑functional teams to bring it to life.

If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, love solving customer problems through data and insight, and know how to balance commercial goals with exceptional UX, this is the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap, grounded in market trends, data and customer insights.
  • Create, manage, and prioritise the product backlog, crafting clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead feature prioritisation to maximise impact on conversion and AOV performance.
  • Champion the voice of the customer, ensuring products address real pain points and deliver meaningful value.
  • Facilitate effective working practices across the squad — including stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, UX/UI, design, technology, and QA teams.
  • Use analytics and customer feedback to inform product decisions and track KPIs.
  • Ensure all releases meet rigorous quality standards and are thoroughly tested before deployment.
  • Stay ahead of industry and competitor trends to maintain market competitiveness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in owning and managing digital products, ideally within retail or e‑commerce.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum ways of working.
  • Solid technical understanding of digital retail products and software development.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and negotiate trade‑offs effectively.

How You Work

You’ll embody the values that help us deliver for our customers and our people:

  • Customer focus – keeping the customer at the heart of every decision.
  • Drive for results – achieving ambitious targets with pace and determination.
  • Value our people – working openly, honestly, and respectfully.
  • Accountability – owning outcomes and delivering on commitments.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll collaborate daily with:
Technology, QA, Data & Insight, Commercial, Marketing, Design, and external agency and technology partners.

Key Metrics You’ll Influence

  • Conversion rate
  • Attachment rate
  • Average order value (AoV)
