Summary
Total Social are working with South Tyneside Council who are looking for an experienced locum Children's Social Worker for their Kinship Care Team.
Staff within the Kinship Care Team will work with key partners to develop a shared understanding of the service and to gather feedback to help shape ongoing and future development.
We are looking for a child focussed, skilled and enthusiastic person to join the service. The role involves undertaking assessment at a number of different stages of planning for children, with this work presented in a number of forums, including to court within legal proceedings. Candidates must have experience in completing good quality evidence-based assessments, be able to manage time effectively, hold a relevant social work qualification and be able to build effective working relationships with children, families and partner agencies
Qualifying candidates require at least three years’ post-qualifying experience in direct / permanent employment of an English local authority in children’s services.
