Overview
The main function of this role will be to provide on site service support for all our existing products to ensure they work efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis. The primary area of work will be on our customer site at British Steel plant , based in Scunthorpe.
The primary products will be Celox, Multilance, Positherm and CasTemp, Armor, although all other products and customers would be covered as necessary.
Working Conditions
Typical steel work conditions with liquid metal, overhead cranes, moving plant and machinery, ladle carriers and moving vehicles present.
Working Hours : 6am to 1.30pm
1 weekend in every 4
Overtime is available depending on workload.
UK driving licence required.
Company mobile will be supplied.
Responsibilities
The Customer Support Technician/Engineer will be expected to undertake a range of tasks which will include lance repair, preventative maintenance, and stock management, and plant communication, performance monitoring and reporting with basic fault finding and instrumentation loop checks and calibration.
Requirements
Steel plant experience is an advantage , but training will be given .
