An established and growing building consultancy is seeking a Façade Engineer to join its Birmingham-based team. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with 3–4 years of experience who is looking to further develop their career within a consultancy environment, working on technically challenging and high-profile façade projects.
The RoleYou will work alongside senior engineers delivering façade engineering services across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The position offers strong exposure to regulatory processes, technical detailing, and client-facing consultancy work.
Key Responsibilities-
Undertake façade design reviews and technical assessments

Support and contribute to Gateway submissions and regulatory compliance processes

Carry out façade inspections, surveys, and reporting

Review drawings, specifications, and construction details

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and wider design teams

Provide technical input across all project stages
Requirements-
3–4 years’ experience in façade engineering

Consultancy background or demonstrable Gateway process experience

Strong understanding of façade systems and materials

Working knowledge of UK building regulations

Ability to prepare clear and detailed technical reports

Strong communication skills with client-facing capability
Desirable-
Architectural or design background
