A friendly and inclusive primary school in Plymouth is looking to appoint a committed Primary SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties, helping them access learning and feel confident in the classroom.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
- Supporting pupils with EHCPs during lessons and transitions
- Adapting activities and resources under teacher guidance
- Encouraging communication, emotional regulation, and social development
- Monitoring progress and reporting observations to teaching staff
- Creating a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
You'll be a consistent, reassuring presence who helps pupils overcome barriers and achieve small (but powerful) successes every day.
- Has previous experience supporting children with SEN (formal or informal)
- Is patient, calm, and positive in their approach
- Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
- Is confident supporting both individuals and small groups
- Holds a DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
- Competitive daily rate of £85-£95
- Supportive and welcoming school environment
- Valuable experience within a primary SEN setting
