About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Food and Beverage Lecturer & Restaurant Coordinator to join a college we are working with in Southport on a permanent basis. This exciting dual role combines high-quality teaching with hands-on restaurant management, offering a unique opportunity to shape and inspire the next generation of hospitality professionals.

You will deliver engaging, industry-relevant teaching to 16–18-year-old learners across Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 programmes in Food and Beverage Service, while also coordinating and managing practical learning within our student-run training restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning in food and beverage service

  
  

• Plan and deliver practical sessions in a professional restaurant environment

  
  

• Coordinate daily lunch services and occasional evening events

  
  

• Manage student rotas, service planning, and operational logistics

  
  

• Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and customer experience

  
  

• Support student development, employability skills, and progression

  
  

• Ensure health & safety, food hygiene, and safeguarding standards are met

  
  The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A strong background in hospitality/food and beverage service

    
    

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

    
    

  • Experience working with 16–18 learners (desirable)

    
    

  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills

    
    

  • Passion for developing young people

    
    

  • Ability to manage practical learning environments effectively

    
    

  • High professional standards and strong industry knowledge
