Summary

We are currently seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Lindum York Team based at our regional office in the village of Elvington. The division focuses on new build and refurbishment construction contracts as well as planned and reactive maintenance works in the Yorkshire region.

You will be working on a variety of construction projects in a range of sectors including affordable housing, industrial and commercial; with the responsibility of managing the design process, ensuring compliance and maximising value engineering opportunities at both tender and construction phases.

Design coordination experience is essential and daily tasks will include:
• Managing the design team and chairing design team meetings
• Producing Information Required Schedules
• Chairing design review workshops with the construction team
• Develop value engineering solutions
• Preparing technical submissions to Client teams
• Assist in appointment and review of design sub-contractors
• Review the build on site for compliance and assist the site team with queries
• Prepare Health and Safety file and O&M information

Remaining at the forefront of latest developments is essential, by ensuring up-to-date knowledge of the relevant standards, regulations, technologies and legislation. You will ideally have knowledge of Planning, Building Regulations, Building Safety Act, CDM Regulations, SAP, SBEM and BREEAM. Ideally you will hold a construction related HNC or equivalent qualification, be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office and hold a valid driving licence.
