Crynodeb
Main Responsibilities are: daily delivery and collection of linen trolleys/ cages, meal trolleys and medical gases to and from all clinical areas. This will involve the movement of medium to heavy equipment. Respond to requests for ad-hoc jobs and record these requests for tracking and audit purposes. Inform the Logistics Team Leaders of any day-to-day issues or risk delivering the service required and inform them of any training issues that are identified. To participate in team meetings, training events and professional development activities as deemed appropriate. Change clean and dirty HSDU trolleys and any HSDU boxes to/ from the clinical To collect, sort and frank outgoing mail/ parcels and to leave mail in safe and secure area for Royal Mail/ Courier collection. To sort and distribute internal incoming mail/ parcels. To sort/ frank mail and parcels in line with Royal Mail standards of service. Collect daily Royal Mail from Facilities Reception and return to post room. Record every special delivery, recorded delivery and parcel in the Post Room book. To operate effectively as part of a team so as to promote efficiency, economy and a harmonious environment. To inform Line Manager of any irregular circumstances relating to their duties. To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe, healthy and efficient manner in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and local operational Policies. To ensure fire exits and firefighting equipment are accessible and gangways and work areas are kept clear, clean and tidy. To ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained. To assist in the uniform fitting and Linen Room service when requested. To undertake training as necessary and to be able to demonstrate their competence in all tasks within the service.
