We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home.
The role is to work 4 days on 8 nights off on a rota basis, this works out at 23.33 hours per week. Night shifts are 9.15pm to 7.15am.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support care staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management in accordance with individual care plans
Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
Foster a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
Maintain accurate documentation related to care delivery and resident progress using IT systems
Participate in team meetings to ensure effective communication within the care team
Qualifications
Previous experience working within a care home or senior care setting is essential
Supervising or leadership experience is desirable
Communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions
IT proficiency for maintaining electronic records and documentation

The holiday entitlement for this role is 13 nights per annum which includes a bank holiday allowance. The role involves working weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis and any bank holiday hours worked will be paid at double time.
