We’re looking for a Service Team Member to join us at Acorn Bank near Penrith in Cumbria there also may be an ask to work at Aira Force near Ullswater on some occasions to support our busy teams across visitor operations. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll help us meet targets, solve problems, and deliver great service across different locations. The work will primarily involved food and beverage but there may be other visitor welcome tasks,
The hours advertised for this role is reflective of 12 months, however the actual hours you’ll be required to work for this role are 1170. The amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the term of your contract.
Pay: £12.75 per hour - we’re currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2026.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

You’ll be part of a team of 10 people across the two properties. Acorn Bank which will be your primary place of work is a delightful place with a beautiful house ands stunning landscapes set in a rural location. Aira Force is the home to the Iconic waterfall on the edge of the beautiful Ullswater lake.
What you'll be doing
The core part of your job is to give vital and positive support to your colleagues, wherever you’re needed, with a focus working in Food and Beverage and on greeting and helping visitors. No two days will be the same. You’ll work across different visitor areas and sites, helping us meet service and targets. You’ll also be on hand to resolve customer issues in a friendly and helpful way. Tasks could include serving food and drink, welcoming visitors, restocking shelves in the shop, clearing tables in the café, and answering questions to help people get the most out of their visit.
