Social Care & Education are seeking a fun, energetic, and compassionate Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to a vibrant young adult. This permanent role offers the opportunity to become part of a supportive and inclusive community that values enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive approach. The primary focus of the role is to support and engage our resident in daily activities, and to promote independence, well-being, and personal growth.
The Role
· Provide assistance with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household management to encourage self-sufficiency.
· Foster a supportive environment that encourages the resident to develop life skills and make independent choices.
· Plan and participate in community outings and recreational activities.
· Build a trusting and positive relationship with the service user, ensuring effective communication with the wider support team.
· Administer medication and provide appropriate support in line with care plans.
· Support the service user with appointments when required.
· Provide guidance and support in managing personal finances.
The Requirements
· Be enthusiastic about developing new skills.
· Patient, empathetic, and able to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
· Experience working with service users that have autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
· Willingness to work varied shift patterns, including early shifts, late shifts, day shifts, and sleep-ins.
