Duties:
- Conduct fault diagnosis, vehicle servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer and franchise standards
- Accurately identify and report faults, vehicle conditions, safety issues, and performance concerns to the Service Manager
- Ensure all work complies with quality procedures and safety regulations set by the dealership and franchise guidelines
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy workshop environment
- Support team objectives by working efficiently towards individual and team targets
- Assist in the continued development of the service department’s reputation for quality and reliability
- If qualified, undertake MOT testing; if not, pursue training opportunities to achieve this qualification
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or IMI Qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Ideally, 1-2 years of post-qualification workshop experience
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
- Strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
- Proven ability to produce high-standard vehicle repairs and diagnostics
- Motivated team player with a proactive approach to work
- MOT license advantageous but not essential; willingness to train if not already qualified
