Take pride in delivering quality from the ground up in a hands-on role that keeps fresh produce moving across the UK.
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Fresh Produce Grader to join our dedicated production team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our onions and potatoes meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers.
You will be responsible for:
• Grading onions and potatoes to ensure they meet required quality and size standards
• Washing produce thoroughly prior to packing
• Bagging and preparing produce for distribution
• Carefully inspecting produce to identify damaged items or foreign objects
• Removing any substandard produce from the production line
• Adhering to all company health and safety procedures at all times
• Supporting the wider production team as needed
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, practical environment.
For the role you will need:
• Proven experience in a similar grading, production, or fresh produce environment (essential)
• A strong work ethic and willingness to undertake manual, hands-on tasks
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a clear commitment to maintaining quality standards
• A reliable and punctual approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team
• A sound understanding of health and safety procedures
• The physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry out repetitive duties
• Access to their own transport, as the site is not accessible by public transport
This is a long term, ongoing position.
This role is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm in the winter months. 7am to 8pm in the summer season.
The hourly rate is £12.40. You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.
