We are looking for Bank Staff to support our housekeeping and Food Service Assistant (FSA) teams at our Rush Court location. This pivotal role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all our residents and staff.
The Role
As a Bank Staff member specialising in Housekeeping and FSA duties, you will play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of our home. You will work on a flexible basis, supporting our permanent teams by providing essential cleaning services and assisting with meal preparation and service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is passionate about helping others in a caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home including residents' rooms, communal areas, and service areas.
Perform daily housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and emptying bins.
Support the Food Service Assistant team by assisting with meal preparation, plating, and serving food and beverages to residents.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to management.
Work collaboratively with care and nursing staff to ensure residents’ needs are met.
Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safeguarding.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in housekeeping or as a Food Service Assistant within health, nursing, or social care settings is highly desirable.
Understanding of hygiene standards and infection prevention control.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
Flexibility to work varied shifts as required.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
