What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a suitably experienced professional to work in partnership with our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to assist in the responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the School and to take full accountability in the absence of the DSL. Candidates would be involvedin participating in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings, contributing to student assessment and thereby supporting the whole school, students and their families in safeguarding and child protection.

This role would suit a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead or someone willing to undergo training. Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in working closely with children, and possess the ability to communicate diplomatically and tactfully with adults.

Self motivation is key along with a good knowledge of IT and a broad knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection.
