About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an aspiring senior leader to make a Trust-wide impact while maintaining a connection to the classroom. Working under the direction of the Subject Director, you will support the strategic delivery of curriculum and raise standards in teaching and learning. You will act as a key leader, taking direct responsibility for Maths in one or two specific schools whilst contributing to the wider Trust strategy. This role combines subject leadership, teacher coaching, curriculum development, and classroom teaching, offering the perfect platform for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the Subject Director to support strategic curriculum delivery and raise standards in teaching and learning across the Trust.
• School Leadership: Provide direct subject leadership in designated schools, driving improvements and ensuring consistency in practice.
• Staff Development: Support and develop other teachers through coaching, mentoring, and collaboration to deliver high-quality teaching.
• Curriculum Design: Contribute to the design and implementation of an inclusive, ambitious Maths curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Data & Intervention: Analyse performance data to identify barriers to learning, specifically focusing on raising standards and closing gaps for disadvantaged learners.
• Inclusive Practice: Ensure inclusive and consistent practices are embedded across the Trust to benefit all students regardless of their starting point.
• Collaboration: Work as part of a forward-thinking subject team, building strong relationships across school teams and phases.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate must hold their Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Mathematics and have a strong track record of excellent teaching and improving pupil outcomes in Maths.
